Community Support

Community Support is an important component of Workshop activities. Support is derived through several means.

We would like to thank everyone who helped to make our 40th Anniversary such a success!

1. Volunteers - Volunteers can work in specific programs, or perform specific tasks that help the agency meet special needs.

2. Donations - Donations provide a way to meet special costs of the program and can be made in several areas including -

  • Board Designated - donations approved by the Board of Directors to meet a special project, equipment or trainee need.
  • Endowment - donations that remain permanently restricted and the interest and dividends used to further agency purposes
  • Operational - donations made that are used for normal operating expenses
  • Special appeals - generally made for a special project such as the purchase of the Industrial Center or activity such as the annual trainee dinner

Any donation can be made in honor or in memory of others.

To volunteer or to make a donation or to discuss estate planning opportunities, contact Kib at 724-548-5664 or email us at pwac@windstream.net

Businesses can also help through financial support or through donations of services or needed materials. These donations help by freeing up operationhal dollars that can then be used for other needs.

Additional funding support is obtained through foundation or other grant awards.
